Westside Neighborhood Guides
The westside of Kauai is loosely described as the area from Ele’ele to Kekaha. Beyond Kekaha to the west is Mana, but for the purposes of this website, Mana is omitted. Sunshine, white sands, rodeos, and sunset cruises are just a few of the signatures the ‘westside’ etches on our island. If you enjoy camping or hunting, it is a quick dart up mauka for that in Koke’e. If you enjoy spacious white sandy beaches, try Polihale, 25 minutes from Kekaha.
The westside is the most underrated part of Kauai in our opinion.
Westside Neighborhoods
What's To Love
Sunny hot and dry for most of the year. Sunsets over Niihau. Lengthy views. Gateway to Kokee and the Waimea Canyon. White sands and the cliffs of Polihale. Plantation homes in addition to old and new subdivisions.
What's Not To Love
The westside has little or no rain forest. Virtually no resort accommodations. Few commercial districts. Few condominiums and no timeshares.
